How to get to Oppdal

When planning your trip to Oppdal, you have several options. Price, travel time, number of transfers, and of course cost of transportation are important issues. Enabling you to choose the transportation that suits your preferences best, we have listed the most likely options.

If you fly to Trondheim
From Trondheim Airport (Vaernes) you can take bus or train to the City of Trondheim.
(30 - 40 minutes) From Trondheim you will continue to Oppdal by train (1hr 35 minutes) or by bus (2 hours 25 minutes). For more information regarding transfers from Trondheim Airport to Oppdal, please click here.

If you fly to Oslo
If you choose to fly to Oslo, you can easily catch a train straight to Oppdal. The travel time from Oslo to Oppdal by train is approx 4 hours and 30 minutes. Book your train ticket here.

If you fly to Torp (Sandefjord)
Torp Airport is located south-west of Oslo, close to a city called Sandefjord.

The Torp Express bus service  ( Oslo - Torp - Oslo) corresponds with Ryanair's routes to and from London, Glasgow, Milan and Frankfurt.

The bus takes you to Oslo Central, where you make a transfer to an express train to Oppdal.

This service is open to all passengers travelling to and from Sandefjord Airport Torp. Since the bus service corresponds with Ryanair's flights to and from Sandefjord Airport Torp, it will wait for Ryanair passengers in the event of any delays. The bus will leave 30 minutes after arrival.

Tickets cost NOK 140,- each way for adults and NOK 80,- for children (aged 3-15). Children under three years travel free.
